Avast licence on my broken notebook

Hello,

I unfortunately spilled some tee on my older notebook and the serviceman told me, that it is unrepairable (computer does do nothing after pressing the turn on button). Problem is, that I had / have on this notebook installed some trial version of Avast (I do not remember exactly if it was Avast Premium Security or AntiTrack or…) and I naturaly do not want to pay for software on a computer that does not work. I have no chance to uninstal it.

Replies are wery welcome, have a nice day, Michael.

If you just install a trial version and did NOT enter your paying information like credit-card numbers, then you can just forget it. It just expires and no fee needed.
If you did enter these info, then you should have got an e-mail about the purchase with order numbers or like that. With these info you can request cancelling your subscriptions.

Thanks for your answer, NON. I had to fill my payments info while purchasing the trial. In that email, i can see manage subscription button, after clicing i am redirected to Avast page. Here I can see info “This subscription will not be automatically renewed.” I hope that is enough to be sure that i will pay nothing. Have I nice day.

I’m not exactly sure the statement indicates that you won’t need to pay, or it just saying “automatic renewal” (yearly subscription) is disabled for your purchases. Considering you filled payment info before starting trial, I would suggest to contact avast sales department to confirm your concern. There is a 30-day refund guarantee.
