Avast License Key-Not sure if this is the right place to ask

After solving a nasty malware issue I loaded the new 5.0 Avast…but everytime I sign on it says I need the License, if I click OK I can continue.

When I right click registration there is no place for me to insert any license key, unless it’s the paid version. It also says my current registration will expire on 3/23/2011. So how do I get rid of that annoying prompt?

There are two methods of registering avast! Free Antivirus 5.0 license key:

On-line registration

Off-line registration

Have you tried avast repair and reboot ?

For a repair of avast. Windows, Add Remove programs, select ‘avast! Anti-Virus,’ click the Change/Remove button from the pop-up window, scroll down to Repair, click next and follow.

Have you tried avast repair and reboot ?YUP didn’t work. I get a box on start up that is red and black across the top and says license key not entered.

Is there a chance the malware is still in the computer? How do I find out???
