Which, if you install avast with yast in SUSE, yast will take care of installing the dependencies if needed. I know other dritros have similar tools like yast. Yum, apt, up2date, aptget, smartpm are just a few.

Yep, I got that list through YaST. I posted the dependencies only because someone had an error message for glibc.

Can I find avast!4 Linux in a Yum repository ? If so - “all dependency problems would be solved” in my Fedora Core 4.

If not - please consider this option…

Don’t tell me you can’t use yum to install an rpm you downloaded onto your drive? The last Fedora Core I tried was 3. Didn’t care for it much.

X11, gtk2 and esmtp libraries are also included in the package
to use these libraries, (although there are another ones already installed) run the command:
AVAST_FAILSAFE=1 /usr/bin/avastgui
