I’m trying to set up a spam filter (spambayes) for my various accounts, yet though I have specified (in OE) that the account uses the localhost as the POP mail server, and used the mail server name in spambayes’s config - it is not detecting the mail, it goes straight to OE.
How can I get this to work if avast gets the mail first?
Or can anyone recommend a better(easier?) spamfilter?

If a question, the general principal of setting-up your spam filter of choice is broadly similar to the link Tech gave. You may have to cater for any slight program differences.
Also if a question we would require more information on any problem you might have.
