Hi, got a question from anyone out there who may have encountered this error in
their log viewer…it shows up under warning category, and error category
AAVM - scanning error: x_AavmCheckFileDirectEx: avfilesScanReal of C:????\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Messenger\myemailaddress\SharingMetadata\Working\database
it then gives what looks like a registry key then ends with\fsrtmp.log failed, 00000005.
anyone seen this before,or something similar?
I have windows vista ultlimate,64 bit
have been using avast on this new machine for afew weeks, and no problem, this is the first time this has showed up, it looks as tho it has something to do with my windows messenger Im just guessing at that.
My avast is the free home edition…
Hi, yes I am the administrator of vista
So error 5 means access denied, thats odd…
I use messenger 8.1…
I can’t understand why avast is unable to scan this
area, is this whats happening?
Forgive my lack of knowledge of all this, just learning
as I go along, so new to vista…
Thank you for your response…
Maybe nothing… just a file in use.
Can you schedule a boot-time scanning?
Start avast! > Right click the skin > Schedule a boot-time scanning.
Select for scanning archives.
Boot.
If infected files are found, it’s safer to send them to Chest instead of deleting them.
This way you can further analysis them.
