Avast Login request

Hello everyone,

I recently uninstalled and reinstalled Avast Premier and even though I am already logged into my Avast account I constantly keep getting a popup request to login to Avast.

Any help in resolving would be appreciated.

What are you doing when you get this popup ?
A sceenshot might help.

Do you mean, to login to your Avast installation ?

Or do you mean the Avast forum ?

If you mean you logged into your avast account from the avastUI, try logging in to your my.avast.com account from your browser.

Here’s a screen shot. It’s requesting I login to my Avast account. It pops up about every 5 minutes. It used to be triggered by an avast password autofill but now it appears to be random.

I attempt to login and it gives me a sync error.

Whilst this isn’t something that I have encountered, I’m wondering why it is actually necessary to login just use the avast installation.
The only thing that I can comp with is that you haven’t connected/linked this installation with your my.avast.com account. See attached image from the avastUI main page, if it is connected then you should see your user name and a account profile image if you have used one.

I would suggest you login using your my.avast.com account from your browser and don’t log out.

It’s an acknowledged bug in the Avast Passwords Module. Hopefully will be fixed soon.
You can simply close the popup. The Passwords module does work.

It appears to be triggered everytime avast passwords autofills and I sign into something. And it also pops up at random. I’ll just wait for the fix.
