Avast! Low battery notifications stopped working

Hi there
I was impressed with low battery notification on avast! Mobile security, that was one of the main reasons why I decided to go with premium account. Bought one for myself and one for my wife.
Recently I’ve noticed that I stopped receiving emails with phone location when my battery is running low.
Actually my wife’s phone stopped sending them too. Last emails received from both phones were on 13th of march.
In the meantime I’ve switched to cyanogenmod 10.2 while my wife’s phone remain unchanged.
Both phones are rooted, avast has root access, both of them are samsung galaxy s3, both has low battery options checked. avast! Is requesting location but phones for some reason doesn’t sending them.
And just to be clear - both phones are having internet acces over 3g and wifi of course.
Please help me to resolve this issue.

Anyone can help?

Hi,

I have been told that it is currently turned off since on some devices it generated hundreds of emails in a short period of time. It will remain turned off until we can pinpoint the problem.

Thanks for reply. But it is two months now. It’s definitely not what I’ve paid for.

I’m not entirely sure, but I think this features is free actually.

After this kind of answer I’m just trying to imagine the face of someone who just lost his phone and is wondering why no signal flare been received. Confidence would be lost, I guess.
It’s the same like you driving the car and one of the weel feel off during the ride and producent says : we are not quite sure but that weel was for free actually.
I can live with it and I’m happy that I’ve discovered that before phone is lost. At least I’m aware to install something what will do the job.

Its fine that the email feature is turned off. But what isnt fine is that when you log into avast portal you should still be able to check the gsp coordinates of where your phone is…because if it does get stolen it would be best to already have a location…you cant locate a phone which is already out of battery or turned off :frowning:

Avast when will you fix this?

Hi,
I’d like to help, but I’ve to admit I don’t get the point. The problem is you’ve the tracking enabled and you’re not able to locate the phone through my.avast.com?

Regards.

BTW the battery notifications should be working again, although we’re still working on better fix (the current one is kind of temporary). Please let us know if battery notifications aren’t working.

Regards.
