My Avast started telling me that its protection had stopped (not sure why) and gave me an option to click and Activate it.
So I did that, and then I had to select which version (standard free or paid version) again.
Then a window came up saying I’ve been using avast for X number of days and offering 70% off of Avast Pro Antivirus. It says reg price $49.99 and it is offering it for 14.99. (this is in Canada)
Now the “store” window in the Avast program is simultaneously asking me to select the free or paid reg. Avast and register *again even though I did that already and I seem to be stuck on that window.
My Mbam is asking me to update and I select update and all it does is pop up and ask me again without doing it.
Is some fake av coming through here? Advice appreciated. thanks
