I looked over today’s posts and can’t find this subject. If I missed it, I apologize.
Just updated two computers to .986 and now get this warning:
avast! will not be able to incoming mail {pop3 protocol}
Check if the mail scanner (ashmailSv.exe) is not blocked by your personal firewall.
The firewall (Comodo) is not blocking it.
I now have 7 providers with 5 running. Normally it’s 6
Win XP Home

Can you post a screenshot of the message?
Thanks
Vlk
If I can figure out how to get the message to appear, I will post it. The message appeared right after boot up.
The wording is exactly what you would see in a screen shot except there is an OK button.
It’s after 2 AM here and I must go to bed. Be back later today.
edit: I’m back. Rebooted the computers a couple of times and now all appears to be normal.Now 7 provider(s) total, 6 running which is normal for me.
Later today I will update another computer and get a screen shot, assuming I will get the message.
Thanks for reading.
The other computers upgraded without incident so I have no screen capture to show.
Sorry.
Jadinolf, sometimes, could happen, that Comodo ‘blocks’ an application that has been updated (like avast is last days) and only on the next boot the problem is solved. It happened to me more than once. At least, the firewall blocks (and not allows). Glad that everything is ok now.
