This is so weird I was on a gaming website and then avast popped up saying it is detecting something from the process… see image… What caused avast to detect the process?
this is the warning avast give when it detect mail accounts using SSL/TLS secure connection. telling you it can not scan it… no av can, if they did it would not be secure
anyway…is this plug in using the same ports as SSL/TLS so avast think it is a mail account?

I have no mail plugin or addon on firefox. I don’t have a mail client installed at all. I did a scan with mbam to see if anything was on my pc and it didn’t detect anything.

Its part of firefox I know that. I have youtube open so the plugin container is running because of flash player plugin so it is running… But what i said above is how did the entry in the mail shield get added if there is no mail clients?

I only have adblocker addon and flash player and windows media player addon for firefox and silverlight plugin… If i get the same popup again for the url it showed i will post in this topic again… Like i said there is no mail plugin installed.
i did not say it was a mail plugin…i said something is using the same connection type
