My ISP is ISP.COM., and was set up with Avast and OE to scan in/out mail for viruses. My (ISP.COM) messed every thing up by going to GMAIL. I now have GMAIL set up again to use OE, and is working, receiving and sending, Do I now, use Avast Mail Wizard to reset up Gmail to be scanned by avast for virus’s (if It works with Gmail using OE)? I started the wizard, (see attachment) and started the set up. on the attachment It shows (mail.isp.com), They are still my ISP, But switched there web mail to GMAIL, or should I change both boxes to GMAIL.COM and continue. (Sorry it I have asked this before).
I suggest you refer back to your other topic as this would totally screw up (technical term) your settings and if my memory serve me right that was discussed.
avast can’t directly scan SSL/TLS secure encrypted email, as you have to set it to a port that avast doesn’t monitor, even if this were possible avast wouldn’t be monitoring those ports so it wouldn’t be scanned.
Mail Wizard can’t make avast scan Gmail.
