Avast making VS2015 very slow

Hello, I’m a software developer and I use Visual Studio 2015, I’ve just bought a new computer and installed Visual Studio 2015 and the free version of avast, with avast installed VS2015 web debugging is incredible slow, even with all shields stopped. I’ve noticed that the avast service is still running when all shields are stopped, I think avast antivirus is a great product and I don’t want to uninstalling, so, any ideas on how to stop the service or on what could be happening here? When I uninstall avast the problem is solved so I suppose the even with all shields down avast is still checking something, could that be a bug?

  • Which AV(s) did you use before Avast…?

Avast Version: 11.1.2241
OS: Windows 10 (10.0.10240) x64
No other security soft installed
before avast: NOD32

First, be sure to get rid of all remnants of your prior installed AV(s)…!!

Then:

  1. Download Avast Free Antivirus: https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_free_antivirus_setup.exe
  2. Follow instructions: https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed Avast versions…!!)
  3. Reinstall Avast with the downloaded installer from point 1.
  4. Reboot.

Well, this is weird, I had to reinstall to give you the version number and the problem just disappear, in this machine there were no previous versions of any antivirus since it is a brand new machine. This time I did not make a full install but right now I can’t tell what I installed and what did not, if knowing that if of some use for you just tell me how I know what is installed and I’ll tell you.
