Hello, I´m posting this message because Avast! menu colors are conflicting with my Windows XP skin. The background and the text colors are both almost white, look at the screenshot.
There ist a way to change the menus without having to change my Windows skin?
Thanks

It’s Windows that display your menus.
I don’t think it’s just Avast menus, other menus are affected too.
Try asking the skin author to fix this bug.

No,this is 100% not a avast! skin fault. Its your Windows XP Theme (Longhorn as i can see). If you switch to standard WinXP theme (Luna Theme) text will be there as it should be. I’m using MacOS X theme for my WinXP and i have a very similar problem in Setup Factory 6 program on main toolbar menus. Get yourself a program called StyleBuilder (www.tgtsoft.com ) and change font color within Windows XP theme itself (in this case your Longhorn theme).

What I meant by skin = the Windows Theme.
The Enhanced Interface does not use Avast skins at all. :-\

Thank you for retaining an old post.
I now change the theme in my Windows XP to “Windows XP” to make the Avast menu text legible.
It was yellow on white.
But, I have to revert to my “Modified Theme” for my other activities- too much glare, etc.

What version of avast are you using 4.8 or 5.0 ?
The reason I ask is that these old style menu items aren’t in the new avast 5.0 UI, which is a skinless version.

So, why do you ask the 4.8 user, then…??

It is called seeking confirmation, as if the menus aren’t there what is the problem.

No I didn’t see it but I guessed as much, but guessing isn’t the same as being sure and then finding out what the true problem is.
