When clicking on a menu item that has a sub-menu, I am not able to select the sub-menu item. As soon as I move the cursor to the sub-menu, the sub-menu disappears. This has happened since I first installed Avast 4 Home months ago and has persisted even after upgrading to newer versions.
Using Windows XP Professional.
Have you tried to reinstall Avast!?
Which menus are you talking about, exactly?
Could you e.g. post a screenshot?

In reply to Igor. Yes, your link took me to a dialog describing the same problem. Moving the cursor from the menu to the sub-menu faster resolved the problem. I also accelerated the cursor speed in the mouse driver and that seemed to help somewhat, but I still have to move the cursor faster than I normally do. This is the only software I have used where I have encountered this problem.
It’s a minor issue, though, and I consider it resolved.
