Avast message once more

I get continously an Avast message regarding a found virus.
See the attached message.

I have looked for bull.exe but found nothing on the web

What shall do?
Pls help, it is very disturbing

Maybe someone from Avast could help?

please post virus problems in the virus and worms section

in that section you follow this guide and attach (not copy and paste) logs from malwarebytes / OTL / aswMBR

In your picture, it looks like buil.exe, not bull.exe. Still, best to follow Pondus’ advice.

  1. I just got this message. Over a hundred of times last Friday.
  2. The program is bull.exe and it is also listed on the list of the chest content
  3. It suddenly disappeared in the same evening without any recognized reason.
  4. Also the folder and bull.exe cannot be seen any longer. (Earlier I could delete these myself but they came back).
  5. I obviously missed the virus section
  6. Has anyone heard of bull.exe?

Please follow what pondus said to make sure you are clean…is the buil.exe in your chest right now?? :slight_smile:

A Google search for buil.exe returns many results. :wink:

I use Malwarebytes program regularly and ran it again now.
I tried to get the OTL tutorial from the smokey forum but got an stupid error.

Pls send the tutorial to kolm@telia.com.

Any known problems with buil.exe?

In my Vista system I started getting these messages this morning while using Firefox. They refer to different links than those listed in earlier messages. I ran Malwarebytes which found and deleted a Trojan, but the problem continues. A recurrent reference is to C:\Programfiles\MozillaFirefox\firefox.exe and to a URL hxxp://23.feedclickonline.com/feed?type

Could you start you own thread please and post the OTL log there and we will get to you ;D

Thank you, essexboy in #10, very much for your reply. I had hoped to get a pdf-file for the tutorial.

I will not use OTL until I think it is really needed.

As I said the error has disappeared and I did use Malwarebytes software and some other program after that.

The question about Evcy\buil.exe still remains.

Thank you PONDUS in #14.

I hope for a contribution regarding Evcy\buil.exe from someone else in this forum.

The program was also in the startup folder but is now deleted from the system.
Possibly a bug in Avast as there is no other indications.
