@ghstrdr951,

Thank you.

Installed 17 important updates on Win 8.1…8 on Win 7

Installed 6 updates on Windows 7. Everything looks good.
Avast Reputation Service warning for one of the updates. Installed it anyway.

8 here for 7x64, including the MRT. With the changes in MS’s update schedule, last month I switched over to fully automatic, but backed up a notch this month and changed to auto-download with installation when I choose, so I can hide stuff I don’t feel I really need (like the MRT).

I had 9 updates for 8.1 64 bit. They usually are not available until after 1PM EST.

Just four updates for Win7. All ok.

Microsoft releases batch of non-security patches for Windows (June 2015)

I’ll install 3 optional updates on Windows 7 later and report back.

Edit:
Everything is fine. No problems with Avast.

I’m currently installing 17 non critical updates on Windows 8.1

I only had 9 for 8.1. Well Installed 9, I think there were two optionals I passed on and I rejected the malware removal tool.

I had 3 optional updates. KB3040272, KB3065979, and KB3064209. All installed properly and no warnings from avast

I Installed those 3 Win 7 updates a few days ago and had a problematic post-update restart; some services failed to start (including one of Avast’s) but things were fine with subsequent restarts and the patches installed successfully. A few hours later I experienced a bizarre ‘ntldr is missing’ crash which required a hard restart to recover but that may have been unrelated to the updates. All appears to be well now.

after viewing the details on these 3 optional updates I decided to hide them, and glad that I did based on lucD post today.

I haven’t faced any issues/warnings/error messages/etc on my laptop after installing those 3 updates.

3 PM where I live and haven’t received any windows updates on win 8.1 or win 7… I’ve been checking every hour since noon.

No doubt the servers are busy - in the UK patch Tuesday is on Wednesday - just leave it and you will get it in turn.

Personally I would suggest holding back rather than being first in line and ending up with a problem with a botched KB update.

Microsoft Patch Tuesday was traditionally the second Tuesday of the month.

Correct, I didn’t check the calendar, but any case I don’t go hunting updates, I let them come to me (notify but don’t download or install).

Well, it appears we have two threads going.

Related thread about two windows 10 prep updates here: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=160717.msg1230943#msg1230943

KB2952664 is the problematic one atm. Suggest not installing until proper fix is in place.

Is there a way for the moderator(s) to combine the threads ?
When I started this one I did not see the other. :frowning:
I think this is important topic/thread that will obviously have monthly inputs.
It would be good to consolidate…perhaps close both threads and put this as a topic of new “pinned” thread.
I’m sure avast folks would want to see any MS problems.

Installed 13 updates on Windows 7 SP1. So far everything looks good. No problems with Avast.
