Hello, always when i shutdown computer it says “waiting for sidebar.exe.”. When i click cancel I just see avast! gadget on desktop (all others are terminated). So everytime I must click “terminate application” to turn off pc. its very annoying because u cant shutdown computer until kill avast gadget. I’m running Windows 7 64bit SP1 with Avast! 6.0.1367.
Try uninstalling avast gadget, reboot, reinstalling, reboot.

I have not had a problem with the avast! gadget on my Windows 7 system.
