Avast + Missing Critical Updates for Windows?

In the light of widespread Ransomware attacks, does Avast notify their users of missing Critical Windows Updates?

Is this already included with Software Updater, or can be implemented in future builds (ie. OS Vulnerability scanner)?

I understand Windows 10 Home users updates are fully automatic, but users do disable WU component… What are your thoughts?

Thanks in advance

As it’s integrated in the OS alread, I see no reason for Avast to check this.

If users disable the Windows Updates they do it at their own risk.
avast is there to help protecting a system, not to alert on PEBKAC

Very true points, but if we look at Software Updater in Avast Free, users get notifications for software that have their own updaters (ie. Adobe Flash Player).

Would this not benefit Avast in the long run, if users were notified that their Windows is not running the latest updates?

It’s just a thought, or maybe it works differently on the business side.

Makes sense to me provided there is an option to stop checking if the updates were turned off intentionally.
