I had Installed Avast Mobile Anti Theft in my Android smartphone. Whenever I switch off the mobile and switch it On again, It gives an alarm that that the sim card is changed and the mobile has been stolen.
why can’t it detect the same sim?
Is there any way that software can detect the owner sim cards in case of dual sim phones and does not bother him with these alarms every now and then
Everytime I remove the sim and replace it same thing happens again and again.

I believe AMS/AAT only at this current time supports only phones with one sim.

Hi,

I’m a newbie in the Avast ecosystem, so I’d like to have the things clear.

AMS and ATT stands for Avast Mobile Security and Avast Anti Theft?

And returning to the topic of this thread, is there any software of app develop by Avast for dual SIM phones?

Thanks in advance.

Hello!

AMS and ATT stands for Avast Mobile Security and Avast Anti Theft?

correct!

I believe AMS/AAT only at this current time supports only phones with one sim.
patrice58 is correct too. The problem with dual sim devices is, that we don't get a clear reading from Android which SIM card(s) are inserted/in use. This causes the described errorous alerts.

Hi,

Thanks for the explanation! So what I suppose to do if I have a dual SIM phone and I’d like to use Avast in it?

Should I install the two cards and leave there as much as I can? What happen if I’d like to change one of the cards and then the alerts start?

Which will the procedure that we have to follow to turn off the alerts and set up the new SIM card with Avast?

Thanks in advance.

i removed my SIM card and now my phone thinks it is lost or stolen! i put my same SIM card back in and it’s like it doesn’t recognise it?

my device was registered under my email address but was removed this evening and that account deleted from avast.com in an attempt to shut the siren and software off! i don’t know my PIN, i hadn’t set a recovery phone number and i can’t get the application to uninstall… AND I CAN’T USE MY PHONE! >:(

can anyone help me? would a full factory reset help?
