I tried to run avast! on my HTC Incredible phone which uses Android 2.3.4, but had problems and uninstalled it.
When I started the virus scan, it would run for a long time, even overnight, but showed 0 objects scanned and 0 problems found, as if it had not really run at all. Also, the original settings said scan ALL storage areas, but if I told it to only scan one folder or storage area, there was no obvious way to reset it to the default to scan all areas.
Any ideas?
Hi,
so the apps scan went fine, but it run for a long time during a storage scan? And if you selected some specific directory, it went fine?
You can select all storages if you press select on the screen where you pick a storage.
Filip
NO!
I think you misunderstood. There were two questions.
- When I installed avast! and told it to scan my phone (default settings), it appeared to run (the scan time kept increasing) but it never indicated that it had completed the scan and showed 0 object scanned.
- I tried to tell the program to only scan one folder and the same thing happened as above. THEN I noticed that there did not seem to be any way to go back to the default setting of scan ALL storage folders. I could only select a specific one.

OK, you tried the current public version, correct? Not the beta.
Filip
Correct. I downloaded and installed the version available in the Google Play store
Can you try the beta? App files available here in the first post http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=131203.0
