AVAST MOBILE SECURITY - LOST OR STOLEN FALSE ALARM - HOW TO HARD RESET?

HI,

I HAVE INSTALLED AVAST ANTIVIRUS FREE ON MY ANDROID OS

I AM USING SONY ERICSSON XPERIA RAY

ALL OF A SUDDEN MY PHONE IS GIVING AN ALARM SAYING THAT MY PHONE IS LOST OR STOLEN, AND IT ASKS ME TO ENTER THE PASSWORD.
I KNOW THE PASSWORD AND I HAVE TRIED IT, BUT I AM NOT ABLE TO ACCESS MY PHONE AT ALL SINCE ALL PASSWORD ATTEMPTS ARE WRONG.

I ALSO TRIED REMOTE UNLOCK AND OTHER FEATURES WITH ALL POSSIBLE PASSWORD COMBINATIONS WHICH WAS REGISTERED TO RECEIVE MESSAGE FROM AVAST.

I READ THAT HARD RESETTING THE PHONE IS ONE OF THE SOLUTIONS BUT CAN YOU PLEASE SUGGEST ME HOW TO HARD RESET THE DEVICE.

THE “LOST OR STOLEN” POP-UP ALWAYS APPEAR THERE AND NOT ALLOWING ME TO HARD RESET.

PLS ADVICE. URGENT.

your phone must be rooted in order to use Hard Reset feature.

No… Mine is not rooted. Is there any way to get off that pop-up message ?

Can you uninstall or you don’t have access to your phone?

I don’t have access to my phone. This pop-up thing starts in 10secs once the phone is started and I can’t do anything.

Yes… I tried all possible and unusual combinations as well. Factory Reset-ting my mobile. Let me see how things turn out :frowning:

please note the code is 4-6 digits, some people try to enter longer ones - in that case, use ONLY the first 6 digits. helped very often already.
