Avast! seems to be most popular AV software between gamers
as seen on bottom of Software survey from STEAM service by Valve

while these data are collected on volunteer basis from fragment of users
it’s enough to obtain valid statistical result for each month

You have to install Steam client.
i have steam installed i use it all the time
antony91 the survey is only done on random % of userbase and always diffrent users than in previous x months …
this is to avoid that users claims they annoyed by some survey
for statistical purpose these several 100k users is enough to give usable data
