Avast moved to chest system file. Windows cannot boot

Hello,

I have a windows XP SP2 PC. A couple of days ago, Avast detected a Trojan. I chose to move it to chest. The next time I tried to startup Windows they reboot as soon as the Windows logo appears on screen. All kinds of boot fail (safe mode and restore previous settings).

I also have Ubuntu in this PC so I logged in through Ubuntu and checked the log and chest. It seems that system32/drivers/atapi.sys and system32/dllcache/atapi.sys have been moved to chest.

I installed Avast in Ubuntu and copied the chest files from windows chest but could not restore them…

The Trojan is Cutwail-AD.

What should I do to:

A) Fix windows to boot
B) Remove the Trojan

Thanks

I also have this problem, very annoying.

Atapi.sys is a driver for ide devices (hardrives, cd /DVD-roms). I could still use most of my computer since the os is installed on a sata connected HD but anoter ide-connected HD disappeared until I reinstalled the IDE-drivers
