Does Launchy (quoted there) worth a try?
Since it seems to interest you, why not try it and let the rest of us know what you think of it?
Funny thing is to see Download Accelerator Plus inside that list… I though it contains some kind of spyware/adware in itself… at least that’s what some people has been reporting last few years.
Also… Comodo Firewall Pro… after all those problems on many computers out there, I am not sure…
Tech - I have something for you… take a look at Sticks.
Stick is a Windows application (Windows XP/Vista only) which provides utilities such as folder explorers, web browsers and notepads in tabs that attach to the sides of your screen (called ScreenTabs). ScreenTabs are highly customizable tab-shaped windows that lets you access commonly used utilities quickly and easily. This cool utility adds highly customizable tabs to the top of your screen that lets you access things like a Notepad, RSS feeds, Quick Launcher, Internet Browser, Calculator, Explorer (with full drag and drop support) and many more.

I just happen to use Launchy, and find it to be a really neat wee program, saves time going through all programs, just to find one wee program =, it does have plugins which I don’t use, so I can’t say how well they work, but I’m sure they’re good Has themes if you ever get bored, even though the default one I find is simple and sleek
So give a try!

Yeah DAP is adware powered, ad banner if we are more precise. All it does is displaying of ad banners inside the program.
It’s a bit annoying but not dangerous.
Hi bob3160,
Avast also did welll in this test: http://www.av-test.org/
But in the realm of proactive security and regarding FP’s it was tested as mediocre. So this means that it is tops in normal signature scanning, but lags behind where proactive scanning and rootkit detection is concerned, but they are working on that aspect,
polonus
but they are working on that aspectFor all of our safety, let's hope so my friend.
(Welcome Back Damien :))
