We are using end point protection plus version 8.0.1603 attached to SOA with 65 licences. We connect to pcs in our head office as well as a number of remote locations.
Most of the remote pcs are left permanently switched on, but periodically the odd one will appear in the SOA console as disconnected. I know that rebooting will enable reconnection, but a few days ago I found that by restarting the Avast netclient service on the remote pc without the need for a reboot also reconnects the PC.
My question is, is there a known reason why this is happening, and if so what can I do to stop it recurring?
Otherwise, is there a way of scheduling a restart of the netclient service periodically (once a day say) rather than having to complete this manually.
