Hi,
I use Avast 2016 Free (11.1.2245) on Win 10.
Recently I checked my inbound firewall rules (Windows firewall) and saw two Avast rules:
Name: avast! NG front end
Program: aswFe.exe
Profile: public
Protocol: UDP & TCP
My Questions:
Are these rules correct and really set up by Avast? So it is not any kind of attack?
For what these rules are necessary?
And why these rules are set up for the profile/zone “public”? Are these rules not a security issue, especially on public places like an airport?
Thanks in advance!
Kud

Hi,
please - is there someone out there who can confirm these firewall rules for the public profile? Please see my questions in my initial post.
Thank you!
Kud

I also would like to have an answer. I have Windows 10 with the windows firewall enabled. I also have Avast setup with their firewall enabled. I see conflicting information online, but nothing recent.
Does anyone have any information on this?
