after the latest app update, 7 out of 10 times i scanned a file there is no notification if my scan has finished, sometimes they do appear. because of this the only way to tell if the scan has finished is to open avast app and see the progress there, before it always show up whenever i finish scanning files even without opening the app (pop up notification on the bottom right corner) so it feels like i hasn’t scanned the file because the notification didn’t appear. how do i make them show up again? i need to know if i have finished my scans because i use it often to scan small files
Hi, that’s a known bug, the devs are working on a fix.
It does amaze me that things which were working fine in earlier versions are broken in new program updates. Whatever happened to QA and Alpha testing ???
Will we have to wait a month for new release version, or fix will be faster…
“Scan from Windows Explorer” was driving me nuts for not working.
Tried repairing Avast, uninstalling it & re-installing it too. Should’ve searched here first since others are having the same problem.
So far only solution to actually scan stuff is to keep the Avast program window open, then minimize it, & scan whatever files you want in Windows Explorer or on the Desktop.
-Windows 10
-Avast Program Version 19.6.2383 (build 19.6.4546.494)
The scan is still actually running in the background, and you can check the Scan History to see the results.
this still hasn’t been fixed?
Hi, it works for me - see screenshot.
Working fine here also.

Did you minimise the window whilst you were scanning ?
