Hi all, I installed avast 2015 “free” and it worked for a week or so but now I cant enable the shield and it wont scan or anything, when I click the scan button it say’s “access denied” I tried reinstalling it and using the special “avast uninstaller” and then installing it again and yet nothing seems to fix this problem, can someone help me fix this please :-\
Have you tried an Avast Repair?
- Control Panel > Add/Remove programs → Avast
- Click on Repair
- Follow instructions
- Reboot
Have you other security related software installed?

and yeah Ive tried repairing it, and have no other security software installed
- Download Avast Free: http://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_free_antivirus_setup.exe
- Follow instructions: http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility
- Reinstall Avast with the downloaded installer from point 1.
- Reboot.
