Avast not being recognised.

I recently did a scan on performance on my computer and it tells me there is no
anti virus on it even though I have avast on and all fields are green and up to date… any
way to fix this problem?
I have a Toshiba laptop and vista on it …

Repair avast!:

1. Control Panel → Add/Remove programs → avast!
2. Click on ‘Repair’.
3. Follow instructions.
4. Reboot.
