Avast not displaying the files on hard disk

Hi,

I’m encountering problem regarding display of files in window explorer on my portable harddisk. I have updated virus definition and whenever i scan the disk, avast displays the files while scanning the files on the drive in the scan window along with full file path however when i view the root folder through the windows explorer few of the files and folders are not shown and i have to manually enter the file path in the address bar to access the folder. I am using Window-7 OS and also my ‘show hidden files’ option is enabled. Can some please one help me out here!!!

I would check for errors on that drive. Maybe you did not eject it properly before removing it causing some sort of corruption. Right click on drive, scroll to properties, select tools, Error Checking, Check now.
