Avast not opening in GUI and duplicated in Icon tray

Hi all,

Since the past few weeks, I’ve noticed that Avast is acting a bit weird…

First of all, I simply cannot open it: it is running in the background, but I haven’t managed to get the front end to open a single time.

Moreover, when trying to scan an item from my computer, I get an error message saying the UI is not running.

Then, I realised that after letting my computer running for a while, the icon started duplicating in the icon tray.

This morning, I found it with the icon duplicated about 100 times…!!!

I tried to repair the Program but that didn’t work…any ideas on how to fix this by any chance?

If Repair doesn’t fix the problem, try the following:
If your Avast settings are not the default settings and you want them restored after the Clean Install, follow this before removing Avast.
