Avast not receiving virus definitions updates on Android and Windows

Hi,

I just wanted to let you guys know that I uninstalled Avast from my cell phone and my computer, because it wasn’t receiving virus definitions updates on Android or Windows.

On my cell phone, Avast stopped receiving updates on October 9th 2019, and on my computer, the definitions stopped being updated on October 12th 2019.

I remember that in early 2019, Avast had the same problem on Android, and now it’s happening again on Android and on Windows. I read on the Google Playstore that @Tereza asked some users to be patient, because the Avast team was already working on this issue…but will hackers be as patient as the Avast users?

As I said when Avast had this problem in early 2019: I will reinstall Avast on my cell phone and computer when this issue is solved. Meanwhile, I’ll keep using the other antivirus I installed on my cell phone and computer, because Avast wasn’t “protecting” me!

Thank you for letting me know, @Tereza. Has this problem been solved on Windows too? I just want to confirm before reinstalling Avast on my computer.

Thank you for letting me know, @Tereza. I did that and Avast doesn’t seem to be working well on Windows yet, which is sad.

I will keep checking the Avast for Windows section.
