avast not remembering passwords

After a refresh of Avast it will not remember " save passwords " option, although the box is checked…is there a simple remedy as am not very pc literate as yet !

Hi , before i " refreshed" Firefox ,which a popup advised me to as it said Firefox seemed to be running slow , i could simply click on my E-bay or e-mail shortcut and they would open without having to go thru the login process…but since the refresh i have to keep logging into then each time , as i said have checked the box " remember passwords" in options but i still have no joy !
I know its only a minor niggle ,but was hoping if it could be resolved easily .

It sounds more like a browser issue than an avast issue.
Try running your Firefox installer again.
