Hello,
I started windows 10 in safe mode to check for viruses it warned me that a site i often visit had been infected with SNH-gen [Tri], Avast said that ti blocked it but for safety i started in safe mode just in canse, the onwer of the site said there was not problem with the site. And i just got a message that says that Avast crashed over and over again in safe mode.tiny fishing
I have the latest version of Windows 10 with the latest version of the free Avast, what should i do?
Your post isn’t very clear on what it is that you were attempting:
It isn’t designed to run in safe mode, as it does in normal windows mode, you can however have it run a boot time scan in safe mode. I assume that this is what you were attempting. EDIT: Also running a boot time scan wouldn’t find anything related to your getting the alert on visiting a website.
Getting a warning on a site that you use often isn’t unusual - sites get attacked and vulnerabilities can get exploited. Whilst the owner might say its fine that isn’t something you should risk your system on.
That said a screenshot of the Avast Alert window with Details function would help as that gives information that could help investigate the issue, or post the URL of the alert (without the http, https or change to hxxp, hxxps. This breaks active links to avoid accidental exposure.
