Hello, Wondering if anyone else was having this issue. When I set up a scheduled scan & go to settings & select turn the computer off after the scan, it does not do so. Am using Comodo 4.1 & Avast 5.0 current edition & Windows XP service patch 3. Any thoughts as to why & how to remedy this.

Hi g3b,
This is typically caused because there is some other program/ application still running on your machine when the avast scan finishes. The shut down facility in avast is not a ‘forced’ shutdown, and therefore if something else is open it cannot close the machine.
