Avast not started

Hi,
for two days now I get the mesage that avast cannot be started because AvChrome.dll is missing. Recommendation is to download the program again. But - this does not solve the problem, error message popping up as before.
Does any body know what is wrong here?

Perform a clean installation of the latest avast version and check if it solved the problem.

Thank you all, it worked by deleting Avast completely and re-installing the Programme.
