Avast not updating?

Last night was using a myspace app, when avast alarm sounded that HTML:Iframe-inf was found in a temp internet file, so i aborted connection, moved it to chest and deleted it.
Afterwards I was browsing my Logviewer when i noticed in INFO section after the log “HTML:Iframe-inf has been found…” I have 5 logs that all say
“Function setifaceUpdatePackages() has failed. Return code is 0x20000004, dwRes is 20000004.”
Does this mean that Avast isnt updating?Does it have anything to do with iframe?

No it just meant it encountered a problem at that time. If it fails completely you would normally get a Red notification pop-up like you do when it is successful - did that happen ?

If not nothing to worry about and even then only if you get the hard error (Red pop-up update failed).

The iframe detection should have been in the ‘Warning’ section of the avast log viewer ?

Since you posted a HJT log, I took a look at it and only found one item worth mentioning.

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {5C255C8A-E604-49b4-9D64-90988571CECB} - (no file)
Related to Windows Live Messenger. Unneeded and can be fixed since there is no file association.

I didnt get any Red pop-up so good there. And yes they both were in Warning section, my mistake. And lastly Thank you for ur help.

No worry, connection hiccups can happen, but avast cycles through its download servers until it either gets a good connection of completes without a connection in which case you would get the Red error pop-up.
