Avast not working/Can’t install on El Capitan Public beta OS X 10.11

As the title says the installer that i downloaded from your website can’t install. The error that appeared says that there is an error in installation.

Same problem here and with Sophos as well. Glad it isn’t just me.

Also having issues with Aptana Studio so it must be OS X that’s buggy.

Well, it is a beta OS.
You can’t expect it to work without problems.

Yes obviously I know i can’t expect softwares to work well on public beta release. Just reporting it here so the mod could report to the software engineer and issue a fix.

Hope you guys will issue a fix soon for OS X 10.11 installation

I don’t want curb your effort but I’m pretty sure they are aware of any issues with 10.11 and they are actively testing it.

The reason why updates that target beta OS releases aren’t released is normally because that these changes might be reversed later on or they are bugs in the beta OS, so there’s no point I chasing them.

If we would just judge by your post, then yes.

Seriously, I would be very disappointed at a software company that produces software for Mac to not be testing on the widely available OS X 10.11 beta. Which is kind of what the previous user implied, like Avast would be oblivious to the existence of the beta.

For future reference, most likely the reason why the current Avast doesn’t work on El Captain is because of System Integrity Protection (more on that in the link below), SIP can be disabled and I bet Avast works with SIP disabled.

AVs work at a low level so this affects AVs directly.
