AVAST Not working for Mac

Friends,

I see many people with the same problem here. I was using eset but read Avast was a better program. Unfortunately when the web and or mail shields are activated you cannot read or retrieve mail or access any web page. This would be a great product if it worked. I am a pretty efficient Mac user and work in an IT environment so I am not stupid. Dont get me wrong I really wanted this to work. I am running 10.7.5 on a 2.8 I7 8GB ram. If someone from the company is here I would be interested in their explanation. I know its Free and thats cool but it has to allow mail or web access to be feasible?

It might be broken IPv6 in your network (discused here on the forum many times), what’s causing the issues,
but without any info it is just a guess. There will be for sure some messages in the system log file, that will
provide more info.
