Avast sends some notifications from time to time, whose purpose is to prevent users to fall into scammers or other traps. This is a good thing in principle.
But these notification windows, which open up with AVAST premium, have a ridiculously small font size. Furthermore the program does not allow to resize or zoom the window.
Not everybody is a 20year person with perfect eyes. Please make all text adaptable in size in an easy way. Thanks in advance.
I passed 20 many many years ago and wear glasses and I don’t have an issue with the Avast UI or notifications.
However you don’t mention what these notifications are ?
A screenshot might help us to help you.
These are my system specs: I have a 1080p resolution laptop viewed on a 27" screen but at a higher resolution that would tend to mate text seem smaller.
Totally agree with you! The font size is way too small on those popups. Avast really should add a zoom or text size option accessibility matters. Hopefully they take this feedback seriously.
Well a screen shot of these notification popups would be helpful as I can’t recall anything like this ?
That said perhaps you could look at the Notification settings in the AvastUI > Menu > Settings > General - Notifications, I would suggest using the Pop-up Notifications treatment - Limited Mode.
@DavidR Thanks for your reply. About the screenshot, I guess I have to wait for the next message. As they only appear pretty rarely - every two months or so, it will take a while I guess.
On your suggestion about limited mode: Not sure if I understand you correctly but turning off these notifications is exactly the opposite of what I want. I want to be able to read more easily.
To try to make it more clear: Avast’s warnings about internet scam or other threats are meant here. And the last one (which was about persons being generated by an ai) came very recently before my post. Avast surely sends them out on a specific date each time, so you should easily be able to find out which one it was.
Edit: added the section below
About changing windows font size: I dont’t think it is a good idea to change general settings if there is one specific place where the font is really small.
I still tested the setting Scale and layout with the AVAST window open and it kind of works but the side effects are pretty big. And I still think, that if there is one window in one app which has an issue, we should not change everything, but rather this one window.
The Limited Mode reduces the frequency of notifications - these as far as I’m aware are unrelated to actual Avast Security alerts.
The problem (for me determining the reason for these) is that I haven’t received any and why the screenshot may help to pinpoint the area that may be responsible for them.
Don’t forget these are notifications and not Avast Alerts the remainder of your Avast Shields carry on regardless of these notifications.
