wen avast trys to update i get the follwing “downloading file: servers.def” then something like error can not connect to server
it used to work fine , i uninstalled then reinstalled no look, plz help thanks
How does exactly the error message sounds? Maybe your firewall is blocking outgoing avast connection… I haven’t got this kind of problem… ???
Are you manual or automatic updating?
Into the firewall settings, the following programs should be allowed to connect:
ashServ.exe (avast! antivirus service)
ashWebSv.exe (avast! Web Scanner)
ashMaiSv.exe (avast! e-Mail Scanner Service)
ashUpdSv.exe (avast! Update Service)
avast.setup (avast! Update executable)
