avast! got a plug in tonight’s BBC Gadget Show.
The part of show about an unprotected PC connecting to the internet lasted 45 minutes before it completely crashed. Whilst they recommended a firewall (ZA free) and said there were many paid for anti-virus options out there, the presenter was using avast!
