Installed Avast on my laptop a few days ago. Received the number in the mail.
This morning I installed Avast on my desktop…have received no email. Can I use the number that came from my laptop installation since it is the same account and email address and password?
Home user? If yes, then you can use the same number on both computers.

- right-click on the blue a-ball icon in system tray
- select “About avast!..” from the menu
I did what you said. Put in the license number that was sent to me for my laptop. Popup said “invalid license number.” Still have received no email from Avast.
Thanks so much for all your help. I contacted Avast and re-registered and they sent me another number which worked!!!
