Avast on firefox block x10host login

this doesnt happen all the time… but a lot of the time when I am on Firefox, I log in (at least once a month) to my X10host page and I get this… after doing the login:

Warning

We recommend that you install avast! Antivirus to scan your computer.

a: I already have Avast, and B: the site is clean!!!

I use chrome to login… and no problem, I tend to use FF and like it…

I contacted X10host and got this response:

We have no control over this. It’s a browser plugin. Avast! doesn’t even let us ask to be delisted.

Contact them about this.

ok your turn can this please be fixed

Rob Friedman

Avast! doesn't even let us ask to be delisted.
They lied to you. Everyone can use the contact form. http://www.avast.com/contact-form.php

even so… this is an ad! I’ve been on this before with FF and not every time does it pop up… so I still think there should be another way for Avast to stop this ad!!!
(even a click to bypass it would be good)

this is another reply…

Avast is will known for this type of ad (it is a ‘ad’ not a ‘Detection’)

You can scan any site on line with Google’s VirusTotal for detection of viruses - worms - trojans - malware
note: it has 52 scanners BUT not Avast

at → [ https://www.virustotal.com/ ]

click on [ URL ]
enter the URL of the site you wish to scan - such as x10hosting’s login URL
click on [ Scan it! ]

just for S&G’s i did and lo and behold it is fine!!! big surprise (not)

just kill the damn ad or tell me how to remove the plug in from FF (since I was able to access the page on Chrome)
I like Avast… but if this continues… it’s bye bye
