Since I’ve Installed Avast One (Essential) and using the optimise option it keeps disabling my PC’s fan control program, which as you may imagine, is leading to my PC overheating and crashing. It’s driving me nuts, haha. I can’t find any option in Avast to tell it to stop optimising any (more) programs (i.e. clear the memory or list its got or whatever it may be)
I have been up to now going into task manager > services and manually re-enable the program and manually start it up every…single…time I use my PC. Even just back from sleep mode or a full shut down and off for the night.
Just before this post I got nosy and decided to look further into the task manager method by right-clicking and going into properties. It has a section for what action windows takes when it detects the program fails or is not running. So, I told it to restart the program when it detects its not on. 2nd attempt it will launch the actual .exe file from my program(x86) folder.
I’ve gone into Avast and told it to ignore/exclude and the optimise option is ‘off’ beside it in the program…full shut down/turn PC back on. Same scenario being disabled.
Any advice on how to fix or make it stop?
Thanks in advance. I can provide screenshots if it’ll help at all.
