Avast One: Redesigned installer and app UI

Hi all,

First of all, welcome to this new forum board dedicated to Avast One. Avast One is an integrated all-in-one service that combines antivirus, VPN, and more to help you increase privacy, speed up your devices, and stay safe from threats.

Based on feedback and lots of learning from the pilot phase, we’ve made some big changes to Avast One over the past few months, with a major UI redesign and improved features like anti-fingerprinting, improved firewall, and others.

You’re the first see these changes in this latest beta version of Avast One: 21.7. As always, we are eager to hear how you like it and how it works for you.

In this release, we are especially interested in hearing about your experience with the redesigned installer, so if possible, please try reinstalling Avast One with the new installers below.

Also, please note: this new beta version of Avast One is not compatible with other Avast products, so to test it you’ll need to uninstall other Avast products from your device (AV, VPN, Clean Up, AntiTrack, etc.). The installer should also catch any incompatible apps you may have.

What’s new

  • UI update
  • Code changes related to AntiRootkit driver in terms of the MyKings malware
  • Detection of incompatible applications (Avast One is not compatible with other Avast products on the same device)

What was fixed

  • Few internal and future projects fixes
  • Detection dialogs may not be displayed when full screen application is running

How to install:
You can use this online BETA installer: https://bits.avcdn.net/productfamily_ANTIVIRUS/insttype_ONE_FREE/platform_WIN/installertype_ONLINE/build_BETA

Hi Ed, is Avast One available in Europe yet…!? (Last thing I heard was Australia only…) Cheers

Is there something wrong with these download links?
Selecting a link doesn’t start the download.

No download while using Chrome.
The download worked in Edge?

Hi, We are planning to expand availability soon. We’ll let you know here soon.

Hi Bob, Yes, there is a problem. We’re working to fix it.

The uninstaller does not work.
This is where it sits and does nothing.

After a restart I was able to uninstall the product.

OK, thanks. Please keep me/us updated. Cheers

Download link is corrected to use standard distribution of online installers. Thanks Bob for reporting!

Does Avast One accepts “Avast Premium Security” Keys? And can it be installed in Israel?

Simple answer to both - NO

what is the difference between avast one free and avast one and why is it only available in australia?

Hi,
Will “Ultimate” continue to be offered once “One” will be available (almost) everywhere in the world?

Hi Chris,
Ultimate will continue to be offered, but Avast One will be preferred in marketing and communication.
Best,
Edward

Hello everyone!
I am highly impressed that Avast will now be offering their products in just one program, but I just have a bit of a concern. If I understand this right, the entire UI will be new which can have a little bit of a negative impact on the accessibility for screen reading software, unless it will be optimised. When it comes in Europe I will of course give it a try and provide feedback.
Kind regards,
Urh

Hi Urh,
We’ve tried hard to make Avast One as accessible as all Avast products. Your feedback will be valuable for helping us improve, so please share when you get a chance.
Best regards,
Edward

Bonjour,
