For the last few days, Avast One has been opening the user interface on its own repeatedly, interrupting my work. It’s gotten to the point where it’s a nuisance and silent mode doesn’t stop it.
Why is this happening and how can I stop it??

What kind of messages was the UI shown?
It’s not a message. It’s the main UI that was popping up. It’s stopped for now, but I don’t know why it kept appearing without me opening it.
I have Avast One installed but not having that issue… 
A wild guess is it’s caused by the Network Inspector, which seems to have a bug that popping up scanning result repeatedly in Avast Antivirus, a sibling product. If it happens again, try changing this for now:
MainUI => Explore => Network Inspector => Open Network Inspector => Settings => Uncheck upper 3 checkboxes.

Yes this has been happening since the last update and is driving me wild. Stupid window appears on top of everything else, even when you leave it open but leave it behind everything else. I reported it weeks ago and had no contact.
EDIT : my app was on March 11 update 25.2.9090.919 - I have just looked and there is a new update to apply - I will try that then see how it goes.
After updating the window still pops up periodically… Not sure I can stand it much longer and will be looking for a refund.

Still seems to be happening for me as well. (ver 25.3.6154 - build 25.3.9983.923) I’m still on Windows 10. As a paying customer, I’m not too happy either.

Try following the steps for the Network Inspector above. The UI seems to have stopped popping up for me for now. If the problem doesn’t return over the next few days I will mark that as the solution. Hopefully it’ll work for you as well.
