Avast One VPN keeps turning on by itself.

Hi,

For some reason the Avast One VPN keeps turning on by itself. I’m not sure why. I like to have control of the VPN so it is agravating to me. I think it usually does it when there is an update, or at least the last time it did it was when I updated Avast.

Is there any way to make it so the Avast One VPN will never turn on by itself? I don’t want to switch to another antivirus.

I would suggest you check your VPN Connection settings. Please see this guide under “Manage VPN settings”

There is nothing in the settings about turning the VPN on by itself other than if you are in an untrusted network or if you are doing private activities. I have both of these off. I don’t like this because I’ve read that people can get banned from Steam and Battle.net by using a VPN. I’m worried that I will get banned because the VPN turns on by itself sometimes.

With those two settings off, the VPN should not turn on by itself.
