I have read ten different “solutions” on here of how to make the icon for avast to appear on the upper right section of my browser none of which worked. I know the addon is installed. The best answer [i] got was from total support! !!! Get a new browser Has any one else been thru the mill on this topic? I just tried changing the signatures to false and that had no effect whatsoever.
Given that the 10 different solutions you mention are most likely to be for older versions of both avast AOS and Firefox. Then they are likely to pre-date the add-on must be signed policy on firefox 43.0. EDIT: if it is blocked by firefox, then you won’t get the icon, no issue on mine.
As such then the solution may not work, but then I don’t know what you have actually tried.
The current regular release of firefox is 43.0.4, so I can only presume that 43.0.8 is a typo ?
You were right it was a typo. I found all sorts of solutions here and else wjere
Are you running the 32 or 64 bit version ?
Eddy, your question is unclear. You asked me if I were running the 64 or 32 bit version of it… you never specified what you meant what you were asking about, avast, foxfire or what.
Version of firefox I would imagine, given the topic relates to firefox and the Avast Onine Security (AOS) extension.
Firefox since there is no 64 bit version of avast.
Ty Eddy next question…how do i determine whether firefox is 32 or 64 bit? Iam running windowa 7.
I can answer my own question, I am running 32 bit since this computer is a pc with win 7 as an operating system. Where do we go from here?
