I just discovered a bug with the Avast Online Security extension for Google Chrome. What happens is that the search engine results are bugged, displaying multiple avast checkmarks next to the searches rather than one(see attachment bellow).
Im unsure if this is a bug with the extension itself or with Google Chrome’s latest update.
Is anyone else with the Avast extension for chrome seeing this as well?

nope didnt work.
already cleared history, cookies, restarted chrome, removed/re-added extension with no success.
The only work around is to refresh the page to display a single checkmark
Try totally shutting down your browser and then restarting Chrome.
I use Chrome and don’t experience your problem.
I did till they fix was released.

i did do that
i removed the Avast extension, cleared all history/cookies, quit Chrome, relaunched and re-added the extension with no luck.
The current version for the extension from the Chrome Web Store is Version 12.0.199 right?
Same version.
Strang thing is that after I updated to the latest version,
Chrome Version 58.0.3029.19 beta (64-bit)
I now see the following:

So apparently what was a problem, got resolved is now back again ??? ??? ???
I’m again reporting this to Avast. Since this is the weekend, we may need to wait a while. …

I was wondering if it was only a Mac issue and im using the extension on a Macbook Air.
using Version 57.0.2987.110 (64-bit) Stable for Chrome
Hopefully this gets resolved either by Google or Avast; just a minor annoyance to me

any word on whats happening?
im still seeing the issue
Nothing as of now. Don’t expect things earlier than Monday.
For Mac related issues see https://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=5.0
In case you need it in the future.
Stay on this thread so Bob can follow-up on your issue.
Since this is a Browser extension, it really shouldn’t make a difference if you’re on a Mac or a Windows system.
I’m running the latest beta and am no longer seeing this problem.
